Well I wonder why that spot looks so familiar.

Great pics!

Russell,

Maybe we can hook up next year and give this .22-250 good workout?

Great write up- thanks.

What part of WY were you in? We're leaving Wednesday for a week of shooting dogs.

You missed the best part...........grovelling in the dirt looking for the ball and extractor. (been there, got the attendance pin)

Looks like the ejector plunger is hiding in the bottom of the hole with the spring skrunched under it.

I bring spares to make life easier.

Our trip was bad, I'm jealous.

Yep, I'll be bringing spares in the future.
I had brought spare AR parts but never thought to bring Savage parts.

maybe because im old the ranchers feel sorry for me. but never the less i dont do any walking out to the towns.
good thing because frankly i couldnt do that. especially since im a bench shooter not a belly shooter.
they tell me to just stay on the existing tire tracks and go where you want. leave the gates just like you find them.

Can't believe I couldn't make it out with you guys either. Darn kid just couldn't stay put for another week had to say hello to the world six weeks early and on the weekend we would have been shooting. I guess it was a good thing you had Wyoming this year instead of just our stupid state of Colorado. I was really looking forward to keeping the hordes back with the 300WM and 300WSM. I mean I've gone hand to hand with a squad of charging cotton tail rabbits before but I think pdogs would be much worse. Little bio weapons on legs with the plague and all. :p I see at least one of you learned from Boots last year and carried a sidearm.

Oh shoot!! Almost forgot to ask if anyone was awarded the coveted Barbed Wire Sniper trophy this year.

Holy cow, I forgot about that. I dunno I think Dave's score will be hard to beat.

Those Raging Bull Pdogs are just to tough and unpredictable not to have at least 1 back up. I am starting to think I had better pick up a 500 S&W for the 2014 Massacre. I felt way under-gunned with my 38 Spl and 380, I have my doubts that my 1911 would do much more then enrage them further.

John had to dispatch a bull with his .45.

He didnt charge us but.......he had a wild look in his eyes so we didnt take any chances.
