I have been fortunate enough to last this long into the panic buying craze without needing to resupply but unfortunately I have got to that point. I have been running the 6.5 140 target vld in my Ackley with great results. Results so great I hate to change anything but the only bullets I can find available are the 140 hybrid target bullets. My question is this, are these any better than the standard vld and worth the effort to switch as I am sure there will need to be a little tweaking involved or should I just not shoot for a couple months and place a back order? Powder supply is running low too so I hate to have to spend a lot of time playing with load.

Why change, Sinclair/Brownells has 500 ct packs of the 140 gn VLD's in stock.

But to answer your question I don't have any experience with the Berger non-VLD bullets. I have always had great luck with their VLD's and haven't felt the need to change it up.

Didn't really want to drop $200 bones but I might have to.

I hear you, but at least you will be set for a while... I have been sucking it up and buying primers, bullets, and powder in bulk. Its painful now, but I figure I won't have to buy anything for a couple of years.
