If any one has pictures of SSS Monte Carlo Stock and wouldn't mind posting them that would be great. I'm thinking about getting one but wanted more pictures. Also if you wouldn't mind posting your review on the product that would be great. :)

Wow I can't believe that nobody on here has pictures of this stock :o. Any ways I just placed an order with SSS for a Black/Black/ Olive Green Monte Carlo stock and will post pictures of it when it comes in. This should be good and thanks a lot to Lisa at SSS. ;D

Not sure how many of these SSS is selling, but if you let me know what angles/views you want I can slip out there later today and see if they have one on the shelf "in process" that I can get some pic's of.

That would be great MrFurious. If you could please take a top and bottom view of the stock and put a pen or something next to it so I can use it for dimension referencing. Thanks so much. This is the only picture I can find on this site. SSS please let me know if you would like me to take this down.

Doubt I'll get to it today since the tree trimmers showed up. After their last visit where they totally butchered one of our maple tree's, I'm keeping a close eye on them so the same doesn't happen to the sycamore's.

Not a problem Jim. Best of luck to you with those trees.

JCalhoun thanks for your input. If you don't mind me asking how did you finish your stock. I was planning on finishing it with Tru-oil from Birchwood Casey.

Mine was finshed with Duracoat satin clear a few weks ago. It needed a bit of very fine sanding to get rid of the hairs that occur with laminated wood but it's nice.

Did you spray the clear yourself? If so how much Duracoat did you use the 2oz or 4oz? I'm going to try Arrow Wood Finish, I heard this stuff is awsome so will see how it turns out. I'll post some pics up here soon.

No, it was applied by GCS ( a local dealer and refinisher here). They are Lauer factory certified. I had to do the sanding myself.

I had them do all the metal parts also. Gonna try to do a write up on the project over the next few months.

So I just received the stock yesterday here is a picture of just the stock. I will post more pictures later with the whole gun. So far first impression is the stock is will made and nicely finished. The stock is solid and feels great. I had to do some minor inletting on the bottom side to get my DBM in but it was not a biggy. The down side of it all is that SSS took 19 weeks to complete the stock when it should have been a 4-6 week. Something that was missed on the stock was sling swivels studs. I thought they were put on all SSS stocks but I guess it is only upon request. I was not informed this over the phone and should have caught this myself since it was posted on their website. So for future SSS stock buyers if you want SLING SWIVELS STUDS installed please please let SSS know. Otherwise it will cost you another $30 to $40 for a gunsmith to install sling swivels which was me. I'm not sure if SSS charges for the Sling Swivels Studs. As a note the Monte Carlo stock is $299 since they install pillars now. The price listed on their website is incorrect.

Bottom stock in both pics is Sycamore. A little bit softer than most "stock" woods, but it makes a nice stock with good pattern.
