Does anyone make a M40-style stock for the Savage?

Yep - McMillan. Same folks that make them for the military.

Do you mean the style stock on the old M40 USMC sniper rifle?
Several companies make a stock pretty much like it.
Manners T3, B&C medalist m-40...
But the original was a McMillan and they inlet for Savage.
EDIT: And beat me to it.
Yeah. Sorry I was a little vague. The old wood style with Monte Carlo cheek and no checkering (ADL or BDL).

Wasn't the original M-40 stock a Remington varmint stock? Not sure.
It was a 700 SA ADL, walnut, oil finished, no checkering
Looking for a stock like this

Have you seen the Boyd's Prairie Hunter?
Similar.

Yeah, the Boyd's is about as close as I've seen.

The boyds is too straight in the grip section and too thin in the forend. Other than the McMillan M40A1 (also known as the HTG), the Manners MCS-T is a virtual copy of the real mccoy.
