Who says a hight round count barrel shooting long range bullets cant shoot 100 yard? I was out at the old range just to sight the old gun in, for a 600 yard match coming up in a week. This is my old Shilen Ratchet rifled barrel I just had set back and re-chambered. The barrel has 1200 round down the tube. I was shooting my old Berger 108 bt bullet load that has worked for a few years now. Well it has been a long time since I have shot this gun at 100 yards. I shot one group of 5 shot, with no wind flags, and this is what happened a 5 shoot 100 yard group that measures .171 I figured that it was good enough, and I cranked the scope up for 600 yards, and left. Here is the picture. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/82boy/6x47LapuaShillenRatchet001_zpse12cce9d.jpg (http://s34.photobucket.com/user/82boy/media/6x47LapuaShillenRatchet001_zpse12cce9d.jpg.html)

Some people would not call that a high round count though. Know a few guys with 308's that will shoot 8000 to 13000 rounds before they seem real problems. I have close to 1500 through my 220 and it was shooting .25 still. Regardless...anything under the 2s is sweet. Nice work. Good luck

By the billet weight I am guessing he is shooting a 243 or some other overbore 6mm.
