Does anybody have any advice on reloading for my Savage M10 Ba in .308?

I just can’t seem to get it to group that well with Horned 168 grain A max bullets. I have tried 0.010 into the lands, just touching the lands, 0.010 off the lands and a whole bunch of distances in-between. Now to be honest I am able to get under an inch with the A max but would love to see the grouping get smaller.

I got my 168 Berger's to cloverleaf at 100 yards and would love to see my A max bullets do the same.

And ideas?

I use IMR4895 in my10 fcp with 168 amax and get one ragged hole at 100 yards. Here the data, 42grains bullets seated 0.012 from the lands. If i recall correctly the BA and fcp are the same with the exception of the stock and bottom metal. I've also had good results with 44 grains of varget

My 10BA did not like the 168 AMAX. It does shoot the 178 AMAX awesome though. 43.2 Varget and .020 jump. The rifle also shoots the 155 AMAX very well (45 Varget same .020 jump)

Also tried the 208 AMAX but didn't get very good results, about the same groups as the 168's.

From what I have read you probably need to sort them by weight and bearing length.
Supposedly the amax bullets vary a good bit.

If you can get AA2520, this load worked out really well for my Ar-10 and m1a.

168gr AMax
41.0gr AA2520
Rem 9 1/2 primer
Lapua Brass
2.805" OAL

You can also try varget... my buddy shoots it in his 308 and shoots sub .5 moa when it's calm.
