Hey guys I just finished my rifle build. I only ran into one problem on this gun . The scope bases a 2 piece of unknown brand didn't fit with my new scope (scope is shorter) and so I had to go to the 1 piece base. But I had already bought my scope mounts burris xtac 1 " high and now theres a 1/2 gap. My old scope and rings of the same height gave me 1/8 gap. Old scope was 6x20x50and a couple inches longer than the weaver ss 3x15x50.So my question is will this sight in good and is the ea Brown base an 20 moa base or 0 its not specified in the add so I assumed :o it was 0.I cant afford new rings and don't feel like going thru the motions to return them and wait even longer (internet purchase). TY Tj

I think you already know the answer. Closest to the bore.

Actualy I don't ive looked at other forums and some guys use very high rings some don't others have what appears to be more than 1/2 on there long range guns.Myself I would rather have an 1/8"over the 1/2".I was just hoping some body would say its alright you didn't waste 60 dollars on those rings lol. .

Much better to have the optics as close to the barrel as possible for several reasons. Good luck shooting it, be sure to let us know how it does.
