Accurate factory loads?

Hey guys. Its been a while since I've been here because I cannot figure out how to compete with my rifle while I'm in school. The problem is that my reloading bench is 300 miles away from me so I can't keep my rifle fed good rolled ammo. I am looking for a good factory load to compete with. I know I won't break any records with factory ammo but I just want to be competitive and enjoy my rifle again. Any recommendations on good factory ammo for say 500 yard F-Class?

Well you didn't say what caliber but if you can find it for your rifle the Federal GMM would be a good place to start.

Try 6.5 creedmoor with 140 hornandy amaxs

What is the rifle chambered in?

If .308 then Black Hills Match is good as well as Fed Gold Medal and Hornady Amax.

30-06 Springfield. I hand load 178gr A-Max bullets with 59gr of IMR 4350 for this rifle and it easily obtains sub half MOA.

We had some of the .30-06 Hornady Amax ammo issued at the CMP Garand & Springfield matches at Camp Perry a couple years ago. Very good stuff!

Always do! I have a 2 week break coming up so if I can get more lapua brass before then I might try and make a surplus of rounds before I return to school. Which that also means I will need to fire size the new brass...

In all honesty though will I be competitive without hand loads? If not I will probably wait to start F-Class until I graduate.

For a beginner you will not be hampered by factory ammo. Use this time as a learning experience.

I mean I've shot out to 500 yards for fun but that was with my hand loads. I'm able to consistently hold under 1 moa.
