I have an Stevens 200 with stock 24 inch varmit barrel (g) serial # 2003- 2010 cf 223. My question is has anybody else have one or heard of one.Ive searched endlessly lol and cant find anywhere on the net.Is it possible its an special order it does have sp stamped by the makers mark. The contour is 1 inch <guessing to 7/8 s. And aso is it worth 350 in almost mint condition with decent scope on it. TY Tj

The SP stamp just indicates it was proof tested (SP = Savage Proof).

As for a Stevens with a 24" varmint barrel, I"m not aware of any that came from the factory that way. My guess is someone swapped the barrel and stock at some point. As for value, it's worth whatever you paid for it or can get out of it, but $350-$400 would be reasonable in my opinion.

Agreed, seems like a fair price to me but you might want to double check headspace before you shoot it.

Gander Mountain had some Stevens a couple years ago, with the heavy barrel. Think they were special store option, sort of like the Model 11 VT that Dick's has now. Don't recall the barrel length though..

That's could be but its stamped Stevens 2oo 223 rem. And I think Mike might be right store only. The barrel is 24 inches from barrel nut to the end.It is 7/8 in diameter at the end. Ive searched the internet for 2 weeks and have not found an other 200 stevens like it.Ty for your responses.I just installed the new trigger sss competition first time ever for me and it came out very well crisp light trigger that had good instructions and I believe most of all its safe 1 hour for me a noob who isn't perfect but wants his gun to be. Also its riding in a new Chaote UV stock im very impressed with it also. Im waiting on Burris x tac scope rings and the scope is a weaver super slam 3x15x50 dual x illuminated and a tactical works handle bb style.I based all my choices on reading these forums ty.I wanted to replace the barrel but this gun is a varmit gun but its so tempting.

After looking into after market barrels and lengths. The length includes the threaded portion of the barrel? If this is so I have a 26" barrel with 24 1/4 sticking out after the barrel nut. If anyone knows anything about this gun let me know I would like to know the twist rate im guessing from other Savage guns of similar barrel its 1 to 9? As stated before the internet comes up empty searching for this model of Stevens 200 and its a factory barrel.

You can check the twist rate of your barrel using a cleaning rod. It is fairly easy to do.
