SSS trigger install problem

Hi guys,

I am attempting to install a SSS competition trigger.
The action is a stagger feed short action stevens 200.

I have the tigger installed.
The trigger sear moves freely
The safety bar moved through all positions fine.

I can't get the bolt inserted. I cant get the bolt release pushed in far enough. The trigger itself does not travel back at all.

I have not made any adjustments yet because the instructions say to adjust in a specific order.

I'm thinking I should adjust the overtravel screw but wanted to see if you I'm missing anything.

You probably have some binding inside the stock. Usually, it on the side where the nut is attached with the new trigger. Had the same problem with mine on one stock, but not a bit with a different stock. #6 of the instructions eludes to this.

Actually, I have not put it in the stock yet. :)

Well I went ahead and backed out the over travel screw a little (about half a turn) and now I can get the bolt in. :)

I just installed mine same problem easy fix thanks to this post. I would set it in the right order as the instructions say. The first one is important and if you adjust out of turn all other adjustments are out and most important one the safety wont work do it as instructions say and be safe.Very nice trigger.
