I bought a short action magazine for my .223 axis on ebay, says it works for all short action bullets, but the .223 just fall right out....is there a mod for this, the package says for 22.250

can't get ahold of the seller

Isn't the 22-250 a fatter round? A lot of people use .300 WM magazines for 30-06 family of rounds and have to bend the lips down to accommodate the skinnier round. I'm not saying go all Frankenstein on it but if I couldn't re=sell it or exchange I think it would be worth a shot.

My 2 cents: I would sell it here and buy a .223 one. Perhaps there is someone to trade. The other thing to remember is that the box, spring, and follower are the same for the Axis magazine as for the Savage Centerfire magazine of the same caliber. If you could find a Savage .223 magazine, you could swap the baseplate and then sell the 22-250 one.

There is currently 3 kind of Axis magazine 223 is unique (I heard of 204 Axis, so it must be the same as 223), then you have the short caliber type, that goes with 308, 7-08, 22-250, 243. And the long caliber one that is for 25-06, 270 and 30-06
