I have a new Hog Hunter in .338 Win Mag. It is a 11/111 model rifle with 20 in bbl and the muzzle dia is about .875 inches.
I am looking for a replacement stock. Any ideas are welcome.
I am thinking it is considered a heavy bbl rifle?
Thanks in advance.

i just put a Bell and Carlson Medalist on my Hog Hunter and it completely changed the gun. It added much needed weight and tightened my groups a ton.

OP has the 338 WM, so that should be a long action. I didn't think they made the Medalist for the LA, or do they?
Just checked the B&C website and online catalog and didn't see anything but the Short actions listed for the Medalist's.

You may want to look at the Choate Tactical too. It's a very rigid stock that weighs almost 5 pounds. It also has the aluminun V bedding block.
Nice stock!

Yeah I wasn't thinking. So OP, Do you want a laminate or lightweight composite or plastic stock. If you could find one of the lightweight H&S or savage copy of same.
Boyds has the tacticool at 2.x lbs. You may have to open the barrel channel but that is eeeeeasy.*** one to two week shipment.

I will just see how well the OEM stock works. I have already had the stock off to adjust the trigger. I am waiting for the muzzle brake. And waiting for Talley ring/base setup. I have a Weaver Grand Slam 3-10 scope waiting. I want the small, quick handling stock. Do not want a tactical setup. I am looking more for keeping it what it is; fast handling, hard hitting scout or guide gun.
Thanks...
