I am new to savages bolt rifles. In the last year i have bought a savage 12 F-class in 6.5-284 and a model 10 predator in 223 and like both. my question is did or do they make a short action in a single shot small shank ? I have a Shilen select match 26 in 1 in 8 twist heavy varmint with a shank size of 1.055 chambered in 6mm norma BR. I want to build a short action single shot target rifle with this barrel. Thanks in advance Bionicbob

I have a 112 in 220 swift that is a long action, I'm not sure if they made them in a short action or not. You can always use a long action - action for your build

Yes savage made what your asking about. I bought one on gunbroker a couple years ago. stainless steel, round back accu-trigger, 4.27" screw spacing. I put a CBI 6 Dasher barrel on it, shoots very well.
