anyone try Herters ammo in .243 axis

has anyone tried Herters ammo in .243 axis, im finding this ammo at a good price but have heard of ejection problems in another caliber....anyone have that problem in .243, also how well does it shoot

As with any combination of rifle or barrel and ammunition, it might or might not work for you.

Since the Axis barrels are the same as the Savage factory barrels, I am moving this to the Ammo and Reloading: Standard Cartridges (http://www.savageshooters.com/forumdisplay.php?23-Ammo-and-Reloading-Standard-Cartridges) forum. Perhaps someone there can give you an opinion of this particular ammo.

For what it's worth, I have shot some (not a lot) Herters 7.62x309 out of my savage model 10 FCM Scout and have had no difficulty.

Don't have one in 243, but my 308 Axis does not have any ejection problems. And will give sub 1" groups with 168 SMKs.
