What is a fair price for once fired unprocessed 223 brass (mix of head stamps). Approx 70 per lb - 25lbs. Dale

That's going to be a vary hard question to answer, the last time I bought 223 brass on E-Bay, it was a mix of military (5.56) brass, and I got 250 round for $10.
There are times when people will sell what they say is once fired, and its not, if its military head stamped, look at the primer, if it still has either the ring crimp or three punch crimp, its most likely once fired. But if the crimp has been removed, its most likely not once fired.
And if the primers have been removed, and the brass cleaned, you have no way of knowing, but I would suspect its been reloaded several times. jmo
Maybe someone else can give you a better idea about cost.
Mike.

I bought Lake City brass for $75 for 2500 last year. I had to throw away about 25 but there was about 100 extra in the box.

Scharch sells once fired, processed 223 Rem brass for $119.50/1000. This is mostly LC headstamped and is very good stuff. Ready to load. They will buy 223 brass for a scrap price of $21.00/1000.

Depends on whether it has military crimp or is regular commercial. FC (Federal) usually does not go for much.

Clean, unprocessed brass usually sells for $65-$85 per 1000 shipped....
