Need help with scope rings Savage LRP

Hello fellow members,

As the subject implies, I'm wondering if I will be able to mount a scope with a 40mm objective using the Leupold QRW base and (LOW) PRW rings. If anyone has experience with such combo feel free to share your thoughts. I want to get as low as possible but I'm concerned about the objective touching the barrel since the LRP has a heavy barrel...

I shoot an lrp with a 20 moa base, 50mm objective scope with low rings. They are .250" base to bottom of 35mm tube. Plenty of room for me. Hope this helps
