First post to a great forum. The rifle I am wanting to modify is a great shooter but is my backup as I already have a good shooting rifle in the same cal. in a Ruger #1 that I like to shoot.
Have a stock 12FV in 204 Ruger that is going to get rebarelled to 22-250. I ordered from Midway a Shilen bbl and a PTG bolt head...backordered till June. I am going to need the extractor and ejector parts to put the new bolt face together...where am I going to find these parts...
I have been wanting a fast twist 22-250 for years now and this looks to be a very good way to get one. If there are any other suggestions as to what I will need I am open for suggestions. Thanks for any help you can be
Jack

It is a blued action and the new barrel will be ss, should I put a stainless barrel nut on it?

I lik the stainless barrel nut & action screws better than the blue or black ones. Try looking on Numrich for parts. I've found lots of good stuff there. New & used.

Midway has ejector and extractor stuff in stock again but if it were me, I would trade with pdog for the whole setup

My savage. bolthead from midway came with extractor but not ejector. Did you try ptg direct for your bolthead? That's how I got mine when midway was back ordered.

I would be happy to trade, I did lose the 1/8" ball from the extractor assembly tho...I should be able to find one locally...

I like the SS bnut so I will need to find one of those, Midway has them I think...
