I'm going to be mounting my new scope, its a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44. I was looking at a few base options; EGW HD, Talley, TPS...
The TPS base shows that its Right-Handed only. My rifle is LH. I'm wondering; Is this because the TPS has a built-in "recoil shoulder" ? Do they make a LH version for the Savage?
If not, is there any downside to a base like an EGW or Talley that doesn't utilize the same recoil lug or shoulder?
