I have a 110 with serial # dating it between 1989 1nd 1995. Order a rifle baxis SAV-1 and it won't work due to the shoulder where the pull adjustment spring is located doesn't clear the safety thus preventing the trigger from pivoting. Anyone have any input? If the SAV-1 won't work, will a SAV-2 operate correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated. A little more info, it is a 223 on a long action with round receiver at front and flat at rear.

On your new trigger there should be a screw to adjust the degree of engagement for the safety. Have you tried backing it out completely? After making the other adjustments you will need to adjust this one to be sure the safety engages properly.

I took the SAV-1 and my original trigger and placed them on top of each other and pinned them together through the pivot hole, the SAV-1 has a longer shoulder than the original and this is what is blocking the safety. If I change the degree of the safety then the sear won't clear. I guess I could mill the new one to match the old one but if it doesn't work I butchered up a $85 trigger, I don't mind upgrading to a SAV-2 if it will work.
