Very little info about this model online...perhaps a distributor special like the 11VT is for Dick's Sporting Goods?

Anybody have intel on this model?

I just bought one For $499.00 off Gunbroker. I called the factory and they said they were made for Cabala"s.

I called and talked to a nice lady at Savage yesterday...she said models 19984 (20") and 19983 (24") are law enforcement only models, not for sale to the general public.

Asked my local shop if they could order one for me, and he said no because they are not a Savage LE dealer.

Might want to check out the 11/111 Hog Hunter model......same horse...different color. No DBM but that's an easy fix.

I called Savage a few times with Questions. The first time a lady did not know what I had.The second time a lady said it was a LE series gun and it was only for police. The next time I called I talked to some man and he said that although it was a LE rifle anybody could buy one, and it was a special run for Cabelas. It was made for Cabelas but I bought online from Jay"s in Florida. Hope this helps.
