Btw ebay is a good backup. Midway had barrel nuts and recoil lugs on backorder but got some off ebay

Midway has been doing pretty good with getting things out the door. I've been getting bullets & cleaning supplies recently from them. 4 to 6 days from the time you order.

By comparison, I buy ammo for my AK from a place in Texas....
3 to 4 weeks. even when it's in stock.
Sometimes I think they have one person working in their shipping room. The same guy that pulls the orders & answers the phone.

I ordered a bolt head, extractor, spring and ball from Midway and had them in 4 days.

Ordered a trigger guard and a YHM QD mount on Tuesday and tracking has them in Tolleson AZ as of yesterday. Should be at my house on Monday.

I put a want-to-buy 3 trigger guards post on the want-to-buy place on the 14th, these were sold here on the 15th. I've NEVER hjad a reply to the WTB section, I don't think anyone reads it. I'd be happy to buy pl;astic if I can't get steel trigger guards. Anyone?

Your post was why I never put one in the WTB section. If someone has not gotten any responses, what are the chances another ad will do any good?

The rear button head action screws are about 3/8" OD....boring the front hole in the plastic guard to about 5/16" will allow the rear action screw to push its way through to the rear pillar to allow for a consistent torque on the screw...The back srew on the guard is enough to hold it in place....This has helped me get by till I aquired a steel guard many times...The plastic guard alone will normally allow the torque on the rear action screw to remain constant...But the modification will...
