What bullet for 1 i12 twist

I have a 223 rem with a 1/12 twist.THE Barrel 28 inches long. I just shoot paper at 100 yards.What size bullet will shoot best.Thanks very much.

I also have a 12 twist 223, it is now an AI version but it was not originally, anything from Barnes 30gr all the way to sierra 60gr and every thing in between, I did not see any difference at 100yrds, from these different bullets, I started to see some past 100yrds, but turning it into an AI cured all that.

If your just shooting paper I would start with the 52 grn match bullets from different manufactures and find the one it likes best. That's if you can find any right now. The 69 grn Sierra Match King is a great choice but I don't think that 1 in 12" will stabilize it.

Lucy123 I also have the same twist rifle in 223 you may try 40vmax or the 52 smks either one does a really great job at 100 Varget for the 40's and H322 for the 52's good luck and post us some pics!!
