I have some, I made a few the last run just for the Axis.

How do I get one? Does it fit in the magazine, or in the bottom of the receiver, replacing the mag?

The Savage "short action" is different than the Axis. You may have to "cobble" that follower up to make it fit properly, but then you will have to leave the magazine out.
I want a follower that fits inside the mag like the one for my AR-15.

They only have followers for the long and short actions......not the Axis. I have tried all of those to no avail. Besides, I want to keep the magazine in place!

As I stated before, I made some just for the Axis. These are single shot loading ramps, not followers. Followers will not work in a centerfeed magazine. It sounds like you want a single shot adapter like the Fred Sled to replace the magazine. The Fred Sled only works with the all metal magazines, and will not work in the Axis or the Trophy hunter series.

What I DON'T want is to leave the mag out.....maybe I can just install the mag bottom to cover the gaping hole in the stock. Then your "loading ramp" will probably work. How do I get one of yours?
