Factory Division match etc questions

Question....

What sort of Factory Division Matches are run, just in general.

Also as far as Savages, does it have to be an off the shelf rifle ??

IE could you use buy an action from northlander, keep it stock but maybe have it timed and trued, put a factory
Savage barrel on it, factory recoil lug, a factory stock and bed it ?? and would that work ??

IE assuming I built up the same rifle as a factory model with an undesignated action ??

good question but with the rifles you see out now that are factory built there has to be a certain quanity that would have to be produced to be factory i would think. when i first started shooting my lrpv at our local 33 yrd f class matches some complained becuase it so close to being a custom rifle (it just plain out shot the good ole boys with hunting rifles) .the match director refered to the nra rules and said its as legal as any other.

For F-Class... I personally haven't ever seen any 'factory' class matches, as there is no officially recognized division or category under NRA rules. F/TR does see a lot of fairly stock rifles such as the 12 F/TR, but there is no requirement as such. Personally I'd just build up your rifle as an F/TR rig per the NRA rules and don't bother worrying about classes that don't exist outside of individual local clubs.
