2013 Texas hog trip.

Well I made my second annual trip to Texas to hunt some pigs with all of the guys. Good times were had by all. I managed to get three, but only one was shot with my savage 243 AI. We got 24 pigs all total, with three of them being big boars. Mine was a big red out in a wheat field. Wish it was longer than two days, but at the same time, was ready to go home.

How do those little piggies taste? I've eaten wild boar from Northern California years ago and it wasn't bad.

Awesome. Would love to have used dogs on our trip but there's no way i would put my dog into all that prickly pear catcus where we were.
Looks like you guys got almost as much pork in two days as we did in a week.
