Model 10 vs. Model 12

Savage told me the model 12 will shoot an inch or better and the model 10 an inch and a half or better. Is the Model 10 Predator Max 1 really that much less accurate?

Seeking- I own both rifles chambered in 223 factory guns. No mods they both shoot lights out the 12 is a SS and the 10 is parkerized the 12 cycles better but shoot identical loads in both for prairie dogs buy what you want and load your own you'll find something it shoots well I promise

Thanks Quickie. I have read everyone say the Model 10 shoot under a half inch by serious shooters but got the willies when Savage told me what they did. Really like the barrell length and weight of the Model 10 in the .243 for my use and would prefer not to get the laminated stock and extra pound in the Model 12. Just want I needed to decide and pull the trigger and get the Model 10. I have a Weather Warrior in the accustock and accutrigger in .243 and want to upgrade to a more accurate gun for longer ranges.

Eventually, I may get a .223. Probably a Tikka lite.

I'm pretty sure the model 12's have the varmint or bull barrel's so when comparing to the Model 10, you would have to compare it to the 10LE series (law enforcement) they have the varmint barrels also. The sporter barrel model 10's may not hold accuracy as good when the barrel gets real hot.

I have both and they will both shoot little holes. 10 predator hunter max 1 in 243 and LRP in 260.
