which of the two scopes would you prefer Millett 4-16x50 TRS-1 Tactical 30mm or Mueller Tactical Rifle scopes? I'm looking at spending around $300 to $350. Any other suggestions?

Look at Wonder Optics or Hawke for something in that price range. Both brands are decent quality and many tactical guys like them for the price. You can also find used Falcon scopes for the price also. Super Sniper scopes are a great value but in your price range you are going to have to get a fixed power.

I have owned Muellers and have been very pleased with them. Their optical quality is amazing for the price and their customer service is good also. I am glad to see them taking the tactical scope market seriously. The only thing I wish they would make is a MIL/MIL model. If they did that I would be buying many more Muellers.

You could look around for a lightly used Bushnell 3200, or read up on Vortex as they have several models that would be under your price range.

I have the Millett BuckGold 4-16x56 and it is an awesome scope. I have no experience with the Meuller Tactical Rifle Scopes so I can't comment on their scopes. Personally, if you go away from the 'tactical' you can get basically the same features at a better price for the buckgold. I paid $265 that buckgold 4-16x56 scope. My 6-25x56 buck gold scope ran me $390 with shipping. Just my opinion though.
