Lee Bench plate

I am just getting started in reloading. I am still sorting thru the equipment to purchase and I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Lee Bench plate. I like the idea of being able to remove the press quickly to reclaim bench space for gun cleaning and maintenance duties, but I worry about the rigidity of the press using this system. Anyone here that could testify if it works?

I have no clue what your talking about and would be interested in seeing..Can you post a pic. of it?

I have one on my bench and I really like it. Just make sure the press is squared up and the screws are securely tightened. It will sometimes work loose if you are performing a function that requires a considerable amount of force. The nicest thing about it, is the fact that I can use a much smaller bench and with no press installed I have use of the entire bench for other jobs.

thanks brtelec, I am making a space for reloading area now. It is going to be bench space limited so I think I will give it a try.

Before I had my reloading/gun room finished in my basement I had my press mounted to a 10"x10"x1 1/2" piece of oak. I just used big C clamps to secure it to the workbench in my garage and then just remove it and put it away when done. Cheap easy solution.

I installed it with large steel plate underneath the benchtop and I think i will like it very much. Zero Flex
