Hi guys
i recently reinletted a bell and carlson varmint/tactical stock for a short action to a long action because they dont make it for the long action. In the process i buggered up the paint so i thought i would sand it down and cerikoat it. The cerikote turned out nice but it has no texture and it is plain. The od green was not the color i was hoping for either it is far to bright.

Dose anyone have any suggestions for products, camo patterns, texture, ext. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks guys.

A guy at my work does some cerakoting and he gets good results with it. But when we were at the shot show this year him and I went and talked to the owner of KG Industries, maker of Gun Kote. They sent him a sample and he said it is better than cerakote, he said it doesn't need to be as hot during the baking process, and it will dry to the touch before its baked so it is easier to handle. It wouldnt't hurt to get a small can and give it a try!

Wrap it in cammie netting that you might use as a veil turkey hunting like this stuff:

Then lay some local foliage over it and hit it with one or maybe two more colors in a spray can or airbrush kit. Less is more.

Sea Sponge torn into small pieces and dipped in varying colors of cerakote will yield a nice MultiCam like appearance...use paper plates as palets to mix colors...dab the paint on...
