The worked and painted 450 Bushmaster is ready to go. Many thanks to Ross for the one week turn around on the muzzle brake. Excellent work. And thanks to Apache for the barrel. Fired it without brake and it was not bad, but I think the brake will allow for more accuracy.

Shot the 450B today with the brake. Recoil was cut in half and it is very comfortable to shoot now. In the pic the left group is 1 3/4" at 200 and the right group is 2" at 100. Shot with IMR4227 and Hornady 240 XTP mag. Not bad with cold hands today.

Lil gun is supposed to be the cats pajamas for the 450BM it's able to push those fat heavy rascals to some incredible velocities well above most published specs.

I like it! Any special reason you went with the 450 Bushmaster, or was that just the barrel that you got a deal on? I had a 450 Marlin in an Encore pistol for a while and it was a ton of fun. Enjoy your setup!

Yorke,
The 450 B is a legal Illinois deer round and it has a 308 bolt face so I did not have to change out another bolt face. I was going to do a 450 Marlin, but got a great deal on this barrel from Apache. It is also proving to be very fun to shoot.
