View Full Version : Today's Pawn Shop Bargain...

Had to go to town to pick up some items from Lowes. Decided to drop by the pawn shop to see there inventory. Picked up this bargain for $225. This is my first rifle with the old 3 screw trigger. I will play with before I install my SSS that has been waiting for a home and my slow twist 6mm Rem Shilen barrel. I want a varminter that is always ready to go. No clue what this stock it. I think it is some kind of aftermarket. It has a cheek piece. It is a 30-06 but that barrel will soon be available.

Anyway - some days a guy gets lucky... Tim

good find. There was a similar rifle in .300 win mag/stainless at a local pawnshop for a while and I believe it had that same stock and a tactical styled bolt handle. The stock felt much better than the ones that come on the rifles today. I almost bought it, but didn't need another long action.

I don't own any short actions other than Target Actions. I already have the extension to convert to a 223 BF if I need to. I have several good LA stocks. I want the flexibly that I LA offers. I could care less about a 4 extra ounces when I single feed everything anyway. Only hunting I do personally is coyotes... Never had a 25-06.... maybe...

I don't get lucky often.... Tim
