Why No love 277 And 257

It'll smoke a Weatherby......100grn bullet at an honest 4000FPS. It does need a long barrel though to burn all that powder.

I am always intrigued by 25 cal. cartridges and guns. I have two 250 AIs, a striker and a Encore pistol, a 25-06 AI varmint rifle, and my stepson just bought a Mauser in 25-06, that I will reload for. I also have a 25-284 rifle that I sat on the back burner to complete until we can get our housing/my shop area settled.

I shot 500 yards last week at a 12x12 steel plate, and was zeroed in at 100 yards, I only had to add 4 clicks to the scope, to compensate for bullet drop,

FYI a 257 Weatherby is exactly that a 300WinMag necked down to 257, 70gr Blitz Kings @ 4500FPS It's love at first flight.

For your information you are exactly wrong the 300 is .071 longer the 300 body is .183 longer and has 6.1 grains more capacity.
