first day at the range in 2013

Today was a great day for my son and I. His new savage 11/111 .243 and my not new savage 93r17 .
i put a new scope on the 17 while my son was burning in a brand new barrel. The 17 was .473 5 shot group at 100 yards. Im happy with that. And my sons 243 after about 40 rounds with cleaning the barrel every 3 shots is shooting .822 3 shot group at 100 yards. He looks at me and says that made our 32 cold degrees for 3 hours well worth our time. I have to agree. If i can figure out how to post pics from my mobile phone youll get to see for yourself.

How you liking that .17 im thinking of getting one, why did you decide to get a .17 over .22 lr or .22 mag?

I like it for squirrel fox no yotes under my belt yet fun on paper wind is hell thats why i put a mildot scope on it i want to start playing on windy days to see if i can get comfortable with it and if can still stay accurate. I love the 20 grain xtp ammo first time trying it today i have always shot the 17 grain.ammo.
