I am new to this site - though I have 3 Savage/Stevens rifles
Savage 11 in 204 Ruger
Savage 110 in 300 Win Mag
Stevens 110 in 30-06 Spfd
I came to this site for info on changing the barrel on the 06
There's one question I have that I haven't found an answer to.
I'm really confused about all the different letters behind the model numbers.
Does anyone know where I can go to get the explanation of those letters?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

If you are talking about the letters stamped in your barrel I woiuldn't even worry. The letters in a model # designate stock type, barrel contour and whether blued or stainless. The letters after the 110 on your barrel won't mean anything to you, all you need to know is sporter or varmint, blued or stainless if you are talking about take-off barrels. Aftermarket lets you choose your preferred twist and length aas well as the other things I mentioned.

thanks
that helps me out some

I wasn't too concerned with the rifles I have (only one has a letter - Stevens mdl 110E Series K). But, I see all kinds of letters and was trying to figure out what the differences were.
Thanks again!

Greg you have another great post, with a lot of information, that would be helpful in the FAQs section, or even stickied.
