Today I pulled the DNZ Products GameReaper mount (#40200) off my old Mark II-GLV in 17 Mach2 as I wanted to use it on my 93R17-GLV in 17HMR. Both are older models (7.125" long receivers), so I was rather shocked when I found the spacing for the scope mount screws weren't the same. Basically the distance between the front set and the rear set differs by about the width of a screw.

Then I thought "huh - learn something new everyday, the spacing was different between the Mark II's and the 93R's". But then I went and looked up the P/N on DNZ's website and guess what...it's listed as being for the 93R which was the one it won't fit. What the....????? :der:

Soooo......

Either that's the way it always was on the older receivers and I simply forgot, or I've got some kind of odd-ball here that defies all logic and reason. Probably the former, but I'll insist it's the latter to save face. :becky:

One can only guess that perhaps the number has been "reused". I'd have to actually measure the spacing on my new model to compare it to yours though. Is your 93 from a cross-over time period perchance?

Nope, the 93 is actually older than the Mark II and both are from the first year their respected cartridge was made available (2002 for the HMR and 2004 for the Mach 2).
