Forgot to update this.

Event was rained out for some. Relay 1-3 got to shoot 20 rounds. When it was 4's time, it started to pour. There was wind, lightning etc. Really sucked. The only good part was, my son got 3 sighters in these conditions. He put 2 down range. Made a 3 min correction and was on target on his 3rd shot.

Got soaking wet. Rifle, ammo gear all got soaking wet and spent 4 hrs in the car. Oh well, will try the next one.

Congratulations to Him and yourself. I know you are very proud and I am for you both. I'm sure the whole firearms industry is glad to see good things going on. You cannot imagine how happy I am for yall.

Update from yesterday:

I don't like to brag about my kids publicly but I think in this case, he deserves it.

Yesterday he shot in the ORSA match in Oak Ridge. Only 2nd time at 1,000 and 1st full match. On his 1st relay he shot a 182. Few 8's but mostly 9's and 10's. I made him a bet that when/if he ever did better than 500 total for a match, I would buy him lunch wherever he wants. After yesterday, I have to pay up. He shot a total score of 522. He got in the bullseye four times with a 522 4-X. He made all his own elevation and windage corrections. He got a tip from a paired shooter and started watching the other shooters where they were correcting.

So I am extremely proud of him and think he did a fantastic job at any age for a starter, let alone 14.
