I sent off my Axis bolt to have them install a new bolt knob and coat bolt body with Cerakote microslick. I could not be happier with the results. I've had my TRG 42 bolt coated with microslick and it improves the bolt.

I wanted to give Phoenix Customs a big shout out for great pricing, but for fast turn around. I shipped my bolt on 02/11/13 and it arrived 02/20/13 even with Monday being a holiday. They had an offer over on SH to for bolt, bolt install along with Cerakote for $70 which also included shipping back. I paid $100, since I had the bolt body coated in microslick. Well worth the money.

Doesn't look like anything they are offering with the cutouts. Did you have to order it special that way?

The cutouts are already on the stock axis bolt handle. They don't go all the way through, however.

But if they did go all the way through, how cool would that look...when ever will my axis turn up. It will take me a year to make all these mods to it.

I worked my cutouts so they go all the way through. It's not a perfect job, but it looks good.
