barrel change on a 25

can I change the barrel on a mod 25 same as other Savages ?
a 223-204 switch barrel would be nice...

Interested in the answer on this as well....and also if a threaded barrel and barrel nut could be added to the "old" model 25 that did not have the nut. I have the 25 classic from a couple of years ago, and would love to be able to add a nut and swap to .204 or .17.

It's possible, but the barrel shank size is unique to the M25.

As for the hijack question, you're guess is as good as mine though I doubt they made any dimensional changes to the shank other than to eliminate the shoulder to allow for the nut. Won't know for sure until you tear yours apart and measure though.

Cheaper to just buy an Axis in the other caliber so I really don't see the point in messing with the M25.
