Does anyone have one of these yet? If so can you tell me about it?

What I am thinking is it would make a great action for a build I am planning. But I have lots of questions and no experience other then the regular 10/110 actions.

I prefer the small port verses the regular varmint actions. My thinking is a much more rigid action?

It appears to me a large shank barrel?

I know they are listed as single shot but would it be possible to configure action for detachable bottom magazine?

Is it not they same action as 110's in 338 lm other then being stainless and short action?

Is the action screw spacing the normal 4.40 short action?

Any experience and advise with these actions would be greatly appreciated!!

If you want a detachable, "small port" get a LRP. Its right port, right bolt, but already has been cut for DBM.

If you really need the Right bolt, left port, you could maybe have the bottom of the action cut out for dbm.. but I dont know what that would do to the action.

Rigidity is not a problem with any Savage Action. Shank size depends on what caliber you are planning on. Certain calibers in Savages come with a large shank but mostly they are short magnums and some larger ones. Give us a little more information on what caliber, barrel and other info so a beter answer can be forthcoming.
