Why is it that everyone wants to know the thread size of this barrel? Just buy a FP to start with. For the difference in price you could almost replace the tupperware stock with an H&S. Or is the brake supposed to be totally inefficient? Or are the flutes worth that much money? Why not cut the barrel off and recrown? The POI change with and without the brake would make taking it on and off a pain in the @$$, at least as often as I shoot. What's up?

There is no lefty .308 "FP". The FLCP-K (aka "fully loaded") is the only way we can get them from the factory nowadays.

I didn't realize that the "FP" came with a detachable box magazine either.

The left handed thing was never mentioned before my post. That is reasonable. That doesn't explain the half dozen subjects on thread size on this particular gun in the last couple of months. Any good reasons? One poster even admits to not liking this gun because of the brake. Recrown?

"......The left handed thing was never mentioned before my post."

I think the left handed thing is the subject of this whole thread....as in 10FLCP-K.

My bad. What about the brake?

In my personal opinion, most muzzle brakes are a PITA. Last week I ordered another rifle from the custom shop....a 110FLCP-K in 300 Win Mag. I asked Effie if I could get it without the -K......haven't gotten an answer back yet....We'll see. Now, that one would be loud.

Most guys seem to have a love/hate with it. Love it, because it shoots softer than any other centerfire I know (including .223). Some really hate it, because it's threaded on the factory by the gorilla, and feels like it's permanently attach, thus resulting in guys treating it exactly as such: The other range shooters don't appreciate the cannon going off beside them, essentially, and I'm sure it's resulted in many dirty looks to the bench shooting it. ;D

I just got my Model 10-FLCP-K in 308 ! What a beauty! I was looking for a mount, looking at the Farrell, any suggestions? Also on the threads, is it 9/16"? I would go for a sleeve if anyone making them! I'm looking at the bolt handle? I was thinking the Tactical works? Any & all thought would help.

I ordered a 110 FCP-K in .300wm. I just got it set up. I used an EGW 20 MOA base and Burris XTR'S to mount a Vortex 8x32*50 on it. I also have a Harris 6-9 notched leg "s" bipod on it. It weighs 12.6 lbs. I can't wait to shoot it. I like how the break looks, myself. Any reports on how effective it is?

I would recommend the Farrell base..I have them on two of my FLCP10-K and they are
extremely well built.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the threads are 5/8-24.

I just bought a EGW tactical heavy duty 20MOA base from MidwayUSA. Excellent. Solid flat top, not the normal EGW V-top. Burris low tactical rings do not seat well on the V-top mount because Burris sees fit to do unnecessary machine work. The heavy duty mount however works excellent.

It works well on my .223, not that they kick to begin with. When the gun is fired, the muzzle doesn't move more that 1/4" in any direction.

one thing i would recommend for your rifle is to upgrade the trigger to a SSS Competition trigger.

My accutrigger is so good, light, and short on my FCP-K, that I wouldn't give 50 cents for any other trigger. My other two aren't quite as good. Try yours first.

I had two on a 10flp 223 and one on a custom 308. I decided I wanted the SSS Competition trigger from reviews on the forum. Im glad I did. I was just offering a suggestion, nothing bad intended.

I just mean, make sure that you are unhappy with your accutrigger before you spend money on another. I am sure a SSS trigger is nice.

Got mine a coupla months ago and I've had a smile on my face since. I put a Bushnell 4200 elite on it, bipod and for some reason it loves 150gr stuff over 180.

So much the better. I'm now able to put 20 rounds inside a quarter at 100 yrds.

So much fun.

This is my Savage 110 FCP-K in .300 Win. Mag. It has been very accurate thus far and groups under .7 if I do my part. If I keep the bullets about .030 off the lands, she really tightens up with 190 gr. Sierra Matchkings. Bill T.

I've got the gun.
How much do you want for the coffee table?
