Finally got out with my Rock Creek barrel from Russell D.

Its a 26inch, 1/8 twist, 6.5 Creedmoor on a LRP action, turned to a Medium Palma contour.

Right now its in the factory HS Precision, hope to have my Manners T4A bedded soon, as well as having time to work up some proper hand loads.

It didnt really care for the Sierra 142 SMK blems that the LRP barrel shot pretty well..

But the factory 140 Amax shot pretty decent. A few shooter induced fliers.

Thanks Russell, its nice not having a truck axle for a barrel.

I'm glad you are happy!

I'm suprised that the engraving lines up soo well, almost like I had the action when I did it...

The Creedmoor I built for a guy at the shop shot the factory 140gr A-max ammo a tad under 1MOA at 100. With the handloads it shot about .5moa iirc, his likes the 120 A-max's the most. I made a mandrel and squared the receiver face, squared the recoil lug on the surface grinder(it was .009 out) then he bedded the rifle; there was no change in accuracy...(I might be posting this rifle for sale here soon)

I know what you are saying about the truck axle barrel...My dad gave me his remington 788 and I promptly ripped it apart and built a F-Class rifle with an AMU contour barrel, heaviest gun I own without a doubt, it will be nice for prarie dogs this summer!
