I'm in contact with Vortex now and will be getting some items in to review here shortly. I've had the opportunity to look through a couple of their scopes out at SSS and was really impressed with what I saw. Even the low-end Crossfire line is extremely clear, and the 6.5-20x Viper I looked through made an older Leupold 24x Competition scope look like a $10 Tasco.

I have a new Viper 6.5-20x44 sitting here, but dont have the gun finished yet to use it. I will say though that looking out my back window at the farm across the field it is as clear if not better than my Elite 4200 6-24, and it blows my Nikons away. If I ever get around to finishing my SSS stock I will be able to use the darn thing.

No scopes, but have a 8X42 Razor bino. The best binos, by far, I have ever owned.

Although I do not own one... I have read a bit about them. I am also on another site where these guys only use scopes like Leupold MK4's, USO's, S&B, NightForce and March scopes and of course the new Premier scopes. So if these guys are starting to buy them I would probably say that the chance of it being a good scope are purdy good. They have said that they track well and hold a zero. I also read them saying that its offshore glass with US specs. Now that being said here is a youtube clip I found called the Tundra test, this is part one and once you get there and watch the video, if you look on the right part two of the Tundra test is there as well.

Hope this helps you. ;)

I'm somewhat impressed, for the money I'll try one next time I buy. I'd like to see one of his tests where something fails abysmally.

No scope but I also have a pair of the 10x42 Razors and I would put them against the Swaro's any time. They have some the best glass especially in low light I've ever used. Just purchased a Sightron sIII only reason I picked it over the Vortex was I didn't know how the Vortex would track.

I have 10 x 50 binos which are superb. Also 2 scopes 3.5-10 x 50 and 3-10x40 both are excellent scopes. Super value for the dollar!!

I have the Viper 6-20x 50mm and love it. Went from a Super Sniper to the Viper (what's with all the silly scope names?) and am very happy with my choice. The turrents are night and day difference compared to the mushy SS ones. Clicks are dead on the mark and have a very solid feel. Called their service a couple times and was given prompt and polite answers by who ever picked up the phone. I even emailed them to ask about painting the scope and their warranty, the reply i got back within a hour said no problem. Their warranty is like three sentences, transferable (confirmed over the phone with their service) and is a no BS, we will fix it warranty.

I was lucky enough to catch a guy on Sniper's Hide that said he was thinking about selling his for a lower fixed power scope. Its rare to see a used one up for sale. Check Cameraland for their discounted ones. According to Vortex, they are covered under the same VIP warranty for life.

These showed up at my doorstep today, but I'm going to make you all wait for the full reviews rather than spill my initial impressions here. ;D

I just posted in a different thread about my Vortex Crossfire. I took it off and ordered a SSS. If I could get it to zero I would be happy. I personally did not think the optics were all that good on mine but for a $100 if I can get it zero on a different rifle I will be happy.

I put a 6-24X on my 10/22 foor the local rimfire matches where we shoot on paper out 150 yards and have targets like 12 guage primers at 25 yards, golf balls at 50 yards, etc and it worked really well. What I really liked was that it would focus down to 10 yards and it tracked accurately.

I have a 6.5-20X50 Viper that I have on a 22-250. I have not gotten to shoot a lot with it but I would say 150 rounds or so and I like it very much. Repeatablity seem good and it is clear and sharp. I am considering getting another one to upgrade the glass on another rifle I have.

Bought a Crossfire but haven't had time to do anything with it yet.
