7 wssm

I was looking to do a 7mm WSSM instead of the 7SAUM, however, after doing a search, I read that the WSSM brass is of poor quality and there isn't enough demand to improve it. What are you guys using for WSSM brass?

Don't know why it would be any different than the normal short mag stuff. If your worried about it though you could always cut the neck off of some short mags then resize and trim them to what you want. I do this for my 260 ackley cases buy cutting off the neck of 30-06 lake city match cases i have then size them to 308 then 260 to fire form. Its the long hard way of doing it but it works.

Factory brass is factory brass, it will need to be prepped properly.

Generally speaking........neck thickness is the weakest part of the WSSM case. Turn the necks to a decent thickness and cut the chamber with the appropriate reamer and it'll be as good a case as most others that have been properly prepped.

The 6.5WSSM when done properly shoots excellent I have read. It should apply to any WSSM.
