This is where I was

This is the view from the 800 yd firing berm at Big Piney Sportsmans Club.

This is what I was doing

The 700 yd group made me feel good. 5 1/4" is less than MOA. I can live with that.

The 800 yd group made me feel GREAT!! A 2" group at 800 yds is a great day. All day, any day!!

Our club has a 600 yard covered firing line. (Which you can see in the picture.) The 700 and 800 yard firing points are berms that are behind the pavilion and off to the side. I was the only one on the range yesterday so, I made use of the long distances. During matches, they block off the area and limit access to the 600 yard firing line.

I could not see the impacts through my Bushnell 6-24X tactical Elite scope. There was a bit of mirage due to conditions.

where is that range at, and is it open to the public

It is near Houston, MO. It is not open to the public, although membership is pretty cheap. They have regular scheduled matches, you should come out and check it out.

If you want to come out and check it out some time, let me know via pm and we can meet down there and I will give you the nickle tour.

P.S. The nickle tour includes airing your rifles out a bit, so make sure to bring them.
