I bought two scope bases, both pic rails. One is two piece and the other in one piece wih a scallop out of the right side for easier access to load rounds.

I have tried placing the two piece with the shorter piece in the front and again at the rear. What I don't like about these two piece bases is there is only one slot per piece, while the one piece rail has two slots per end. Is there a right or wrong way these go???

Will be using Burris signature rings with the inserts to get 20 MOA. Have a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 new scope for this build.

Those are extended bases primarily need for a long action where you are putting a scope on that has a short main tube.

Theres not really a right or wrong way to mount them(as in long base in front or rear). It basically just depends on which direction you need to move the scope to obtain the correct eye relief. The way you have it now will allow the scope to be slid back closer to the rear.

Another option for you if you really want an extended base would be the Burris Extreme Tactical bases shown here.

IMO, I dont think you will need an extended base with the scope you chose, and can get away with standard length bases and not have them hanging over the ejection port. Like these:

If you definately want multiple slots you may as well just go with a 1pc base, like the EGW base.

Another option and using low rings is this. this is a 20 MOA base.

Or hear make sure you get the SA it says 110 but it is wrong

If you are looking at F class shooting you will want the scope mounted a little more forward than normal. I be diggin the GOLD!
