Loose barrel on MK11 22

I've had the new MK11 for a few months and this past week I noticed that the barrel was loose. Like if you
pick it up and shake it, it rattles. Anyone else have a similar problem and if so, what is the remedy?

If your barrel is really loose as you claim it needs to be sent back to Savage for inspection, repair and/or replacement. Rimfire barrels are pinned in place from the factory so there's no way it could possibly work loose unless the pin was never installed. Are you sure it's not the trigger rattling? Savage rimfire triggers have some side-to-side play in them and most all of them will rattle if you shake the gun.

Thanks for the info!!!!! It was the barrel that was loose and I called Savage yesterday and they told me to tighten the nut under the receiver. Seems like it worked.No more rattle.However savage did say that if it happens again then I'll have to ship it back to them for a fix.
