Went down to sight in my new 17 Hornet this afternoon and try a little calling. I set up in an area I have been getting a bobcat on my camera for the last 30-40 min of daylight with no luck. I moved up to the cut corn field and set up knowing the fog was moving in quick. I got set up and turned on the Foxpro turned on my scan light had eyes about 125 yards to my left got the rifle and sticks turned saw it was a grey I settled the crosshairs on his chest and squeezed the trigger and watched him collapse in the scope. I tried a little while longer but gave up as the fog was getting worse. All in all a nice 1st trip with the new gun.

Good job. Nothing like a grey to boost confidence with a new gun.

20 grain waiting on dies right now then I'm going to try some Bergers and see how they do.

NICE! I hope I get the bugs fixed in my Hornet before fox season! so far all I have is frustration with feed/extract but I nailed a G'Hog in nasty winds at 135yds with the first shot on target that bleeds....
