LoggerHead Adjustable Cheek Piece??

Anyone ever install a "LoggerHead - Adjustable Cheek Piece Hardware" In a savage laminated wood stock?

Maybe I should also ask SHOULD you install one of these in a wood stock or would it remove too much wood? Lets use the example of a Savage 12 VLP DBM, which is my current project.

i didnt see anything about the width of the hardware that needs to go in the stock. if the company could give you that info, you could better decide if your stock has enough meat for it.
