I'm not sure where else to put this so it might get moved...

I'm interested in starting my first ground-up build rather than doing the donor rifle thing. My questions are:

If I want to build a 308 off the savage target actions that NSS has.. which one do I need? the 473 bolt face right?

also I would also like one of those shilen barrels hes got over there. is the thread pattern on that target action compatible with a regular savage barrel?

and lastly:

do his shilen barrels come short chambered or are they more or less drop in?

I appreciate the input!!!

you will need a action with a 473 bolt face
you will need a large shank barrel & the barrels are ready to install

If there is any salesman in this world that will talk to you until you are completely satisfied, and more-so that he is completely satisfied you ordered what you need, Jim Briggs is the one!

I like chatting in these threads, but to be honest, you need to just call Jim and let him do what he does best.
