What is a good distance to zero a scope on a 270 I plan on shooting no further than 600-700 yards

You're going to have to compensate somehow for the shots at the max range that you plan on shooting so it really doesn't matter what range you zero at.

What Helo said, and I would say 200 YRDs min to have any practicality.
